This curriculum was designed specifically with the market study user in mind and provides an excellent foundation professionals in the public, non-profit and for-profit sectors involved in reviewing tax credit applications, underwriting affordable housing and developing multifamily real estate. About NCAHMA Created to provide a peer network among real estate market analysts who focus part of their practice on affordable housing properties, the National Council of Affordable Housing Market Analysts is a membership organization devoted to education, information and resource sharing. The Council provides a forum for market analysts to interact with each other, state agency representatives (both directly and through the National Council of State Housing Agencies), the Affordable Housing Investors Council and other interested parties. The Council works to increase awareness of the benefits and value of properly conducted market analyses. The Council presents opportunities for market analysts to discuss current issues, network and gain state-of-the-art information. National Housing & Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA), a thirty-seven year old trade association for affordable housing professionals, provides management and administrative support for the Council. The Council has been formed as an autonomous organization within NH&RA. The membership dues structure is the same for both the Council & NH&RA. Members of the Council receive all of the benefits and membership services available to NH&RA members. NH&RA members may participate in the Council's activities.
