Development Analyst, Housing Authority of Portland, OR - Friday, April 25, 2008
The Housing Authority of Portland (HAP) is seeking a Development Analyst to perform financial planning, analysis and reporting responsibilities in support of the Development and Community Revitalization department (DCR).

Key responsibilities of the position include working with DCR staff to understand the cash flow and reporting requirements of development projects; to compile project cash flows into an aggregate cash flow report to summarize HAP and third-party funding sources for department and agency planning; to liaise with the Finance Manager, DCR Director and Finance and Accounting department to ensure timely and complete planning for organizational implications; to provide information relative to and participate in the production and management of the agency’s liquidity report; and to assist the Finance Manager and DCR Director in the preparation and management of the department budget. This position will also act as a liaison between the DCR, the Finance and Accounting department and Information Technology department staff to translate business and operational requirements into specifications for workable information technology requests.

The ideal candidate will have five years of increasingly responsible experience utilizing information systems for data for complex financial analysis and a bachelor degree in finance/accounting. A Master’s degree in finance or business administration is preferred. Experience working in an accounting, finance or real estate development environment is also a plus.

Senior Loan Underwriter, National Trust for Historic Preservation- Thursday, April 24, 2008

Job Summary:
Help revitalize our inner cities and historic neighborhoods, while helping to maintain the unique character and heritage of our communities. The National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Loan Fund provides financial and technical assistance to support the preservation-based revitalization of distressed and underserved communities -- reclaiming, re-habbing and re-using existing buildings to create affordable housing and other community resources. The National Trust Loan Fund is managed by NT CDFI, Inc. the not-for-profit subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and a certified Community Development Financial Institution.

The Senior Loan Underwriter for the National Trust Loan Fund, will be responsible for underwriting loan requests including project analysis, market analysis, repayment source, financial condition of borrower, collateral, and group capacity. The end result will be the identification of risks, mitigants and loan structure.

  • Review loan applications and financial data from prospective borrowers (primarily, commercial and residential real estate loans)
  • Work with and assist the Senior Loan Officer to secure information necessary to underwrite loan requests.
