NH&RA Announces Winners of 2007 J. Timothy Anderson Awards for Excellence In Historic Rehabilitation

BOSTON, MA, October 29, 2007— The National Housing & Rehabilitation Association presented its 2007 J. Timothy Anderson Awards for Excellence In Historic Rehabilitation here today to thirteen outstanding historic rehabilitation tax credit projects from throughout the U.S., at an awards reception during NH&RA’s Fall Forum conference.  The “Timmy Awards” honor outstanding real estate projects throughout the U.S. that involve rehabilitation of older, historic buildings using the federal historic rehabilitation tax credit. This year’s nominees competed in eight categories.

The categories, and the winner in each, were:

Affordable Housing Small (Up to $5 million total development cost)

Judges Award

This year NH&RA also presented a special Judges Award to 90 West St., New York, NY for its outstanding contribution to the economic recovery of lower Manhattan.  This project applied in the Market Rate Residential category and was developed by Moshe Azogui, Brack Capital Real Estate USA, Peter Levinson, Kibel Group and Richard Born, BD Hotels.   The architect is H. Thomas O'Hara, H. Thomas O'Hara, Architect, PLLC, New York, NY.

The finalists were judged and selected by a diverse panel of experts that included:
