In March, Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) signed two pieces of legislation that represent a $50 million investment in affordable housing for Idaho’s workforce.

The Idaho Housing and Finance Association will hold a virtual QAP hearing on February 3 at 10 a.m. MT.

The Idaho Housing and Finance Association is accepting applications for its nine percent LIHTC through August 6. Roughly $4.7 million is available with set asides for nonprofits ($509,000) preservation ($509,000) and rural ($764,000). Applications will only be accepted electronically via Idaho’s newly designed portal. On March 26, Idaho Governor Brad Little (R) approved the final 2021 QAP for the Idaho Housing and Finance Association.

The Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA) is making $3 million in Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) and $2 million in HOME Program funds available alongside a four percent LIHTC allocation. The Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA) released the notice of funding availability (NOFA) for $3 million in Community Development Block Grant Cares Act (CDBG-CV) grants and $2.0 million in HOME Program funds for multifamily rental housing development projects in Idaho that will target low- and very-low-area median income (AMI) households. Repayment of these funds are subject to the proposed cash flow of the project.

The Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC) announced recipients of the 2020 Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Awards, recognizing some of the most outstanding affordable housing developments across the country. Congratulations to the four NH&RA members receiving awards!

The Idaho Housing and Finance Association announced that the application period for the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit is now open. Applications will be accepted through 5:00 pm MT on Friday, September 4, 2020. A total of $5,180,000 is available under the following groups:

HUD’s Multifamily West Region is extending the audited financial reporting deadlines until September 30, 2020. This waiver is limited to entities, which are required to submit the referenced annual financial information on or before June 30, 2020.
