Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP recently bolstered its national Multifamily, Affordable Housing and Community Development practice with the addition of a group of nine highly experienced attorneys—including four partners, three special counsels and two associates—in New York and Washington, DC. The expanded team counsels for-profit and nonprofit developers, tax credit and private equity syndicators and investors, management companies, public entities, underwriters, and lenders on legal matters involving the acquisition, development and financing of multifamily, health care, office, retail, industrial, public use and mixed-use real estate projects. With attorneys located across the United States—including in California, Illinois, New York and Washington, DC—the group represents clients throughout the country on matters involving conventional and nonconventional financing programs; tax-related subjects, including those involving new markets tax credits and low-income housing tax credits; activities involving US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae programs and counterparts at the state and local levels; and litigation. Members of the practice also help clients with complex equity and debt real estate transactions involving commercial, entertainment, market-rate housing, sports facility and other properties.
