Novogradac & Company LLP welcomed this week Mark Shelburne to the firm’s consulting practice. The San Francisco-based accounting and consulting firm, which specializes in affordable housing, community development, historic preservation and renewable energy tax credits, has 18 offices nationwide. Mr. Shelburne will be based in Raleigh, N.C., but will work nationally.
For the past 13 years, Mr. Shelburne worked for the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, where he coordinated the qualified allocation plan, initiated award-winning programs, testified before Congress, worked with many housing finance agencies and wrote a book on LIHTCs. Mr. Shelburne is a national thought leader on allocation policy, supportive housing, IRS compliance, program innovation and fair housing. At Novogradac & Company LLP, he will consult with state agencies, local governments, equity providers, lenders, attorneys and developers on these and other topics.
