MJ Gravel has been named development director for the state of California for Volunteers of America. Volunteers of America is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit developers and owners of affordable housing. Gravel will focus on property acquisitions, renovation of existing housing portfolio and new construction for Volunteers of America’s three California offices.
Prior to joining VOA, Gravel ran her own consulting business that provided support to California nonprofits. She previously she worked with the National Affordable Housing Trust and before that, the Executive Director of the Ohio Housing Council and a staff member of the Ohio Housing Finance Agency.
