Novogradac & Company LLP has been named to INSIDE Public Accounting’s (IPA’s) list of “Best of the Best Firms” for the 13th time. The national firm was also named one of the 50 largest accounting firms for 2015.

The “Best of the Best Firms” honor goes to a select group of accounting firms known for their overall superior financial and operational performance, based on more than 70 IPA criteria. Novogradac & Company LLP has received honorable mention three times, in addition to the 13 times it’s been ranked a Best of the Best firm.

“Being recognized as one of the ‘Best of the Best’ is something my partners and I are very proud of,” said Michael J. Novogradac, CPA, managing partner in the firm’s San Francisco office. “This acknowledgement of our ability to focus on each client’s needs and challenges is a tribute to the outstanding work and diligence of the professionals throughout our firm.”

Michael Platt, principal of the Platt Group and publisher of IPA, said the criteria for the list are significant. “Best of the Best firms aren’t just successful in a financial sense–they’re firing on all cylinders,” he said. “We look at the whole firm: How do they treat their employees? Are they offering specialized services to their clients? Are they planning now for a new leadership team in the future?”

IPA has ranked the nation’s largest 100 accounting firms for 25 years. Novogradac & Company LLP moved up to 32nd place this year, after being ranked 36th in both 2013 and 2014. IPA 100 firms are ranked by U.S. revenues and are compiled by analyzing more than 500 responses to IPA’s survey and analysis of firms. This year marked the first year that Novogradac & Company LLP joined the exclusive group of firms with revenues of more than $100 million.

“We’re honored and pleased to again be recognized as one of the largest accounting firms in the nation,” said Novogradac. “Even better is our dedication to not just maintaining, but improving the personal attention and quality service we offer our clients.”

IPA was founded in 1987 and is published by The Platt Group, which publishes both the INSIDE Public Accounting newsletter and the National Benchmarking Report.
