Lancaster Pollard announced the hiring of David Bonomo as senior vice president to expand the firm’s investment banking and mortgage banking finance activities for market-rate, income-restricted and subsidized rental properties. Bonomo will be responsible for clients in Connecticut, Delaware, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and will establish a new office for the firm in New Jersey.
He joins Lancaster Pollard from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) where he served as chief financial officer (CFO) since 2010. As CFO, he presided over NJHMFA’s $4 billion balance sheet while managing the capital markets and finance divisions. In addition, he developed and managed the agency’s conduit bond program, executed loan workouts and restructurings, and led NJHMFA’s single family mortgage-backed securities (MBS) effort.
“The hiring of David and establishment of our New Jersey office is another important step in our expansion of the housing group nationally,” said David Lacki, managing director at Lancaster Pollard. “David has a stellar reputation and we are thrilled to find someone of his caliber with such a strong knowledge of housing.”
Prior to his time at NJHMFA, Bonomo was the founder and managing member of Shore Road Capital, LLC, a middle market financial advisory firm. Further, he has held investment banking positions with Gruntal & Co./Ryan Beck and B.C. Ziegler & Company. He received a B.A. in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and has a law degree from New York Law School and is a member of the New York Bar.
“As our housing group continues to grow, we will rely on our thorough understanding of programs, such as FHA, USDA, Fannie Mae, low-income housing tax credits and municipal finance, to allow us to creatively combine financing options to achieve the most effective outcome for both our affordable and market-rate clients,” said Lacki.
Lancaster Pollard is an investment banking and mortgage banking firm that has focused on financing for health care, senior living and housing since its inception in 1988. David Bonomo can be reached at (973) 378-1850 or email@example.com.
