Gorman & Company, Inc. was honored to hold a grand opening ceremony to mark the Florida Keys’ first rent restricted, affordable housing for low-income seniors outside of Key West. Paradise Point Senior Residences also marks Gorman’s third affordable housing development in the Florida Keys. This project encompasses 42 units of one and two bedroom apartments. Amenities include a community room, fitness center, computer lab, patios and balconies, and a communal outdoor space.

Among our supporters at the grand opening, Gorman & Company, Inc. was honored to have U.S. Representative Carlos Curbelo (R) in attendance. Congressman Curbelo assisted with the ribbon cutting and gave an inspiring speech to the community about affordable housing and the benefits it has.

“Every unit, every affordable housing unit that we can bring to the market makes a major difference for every single person in this community… Housing is fundamental if the Florida Keys are going to continue thriving and growing.” -Curbelo

Congressman Curbelo was elected to represent the people of Florida’s 26th Congressional District in 2014. He serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, which will take the lead on tax reform later this year.
