HUD recently released income limits for 2018, effective as of April 1. The limits determine eligibility for assisted housing programs including Public Housing, Sec. 8 project-based, Sec. 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Sec. 202, and Sec. 811. The limits are derived from Median Family Income estimates and Fair Market Rent area definitions for metropolitan area. Also included are HUD’s Multifamily Tax Subsidy Projects Income Limits, which apply to income eligibility for projects financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits or tax exempt housing bonds.
