National Affordable Housing Trust (NAHT) has appointed Brian Robinson as senior vice president, Originations & Capital Markets.

With nearly 20 years of prior experience serving the affordable housing industry, Robinson specializes in working with investors, lenders, local/state agencies and developers, including for-profit, not-for-profit and public housing agencies. He is well versed in structuring affordable housing transactions and has a wide range of experience with owners and investors. He has provided his skills to a variety of project types and has experience in such capacities as affordable housing development, fund management, HFA underwriting and investment banking.

Prior to joining NAHT, Robinson served as senior managing director at Baker Tilly, where he was responsible for offering real estate development consulting services to for-profit and nonprofit developers and public housing authorities.

Robinson holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan. He served as a volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps and has been involved with numerous philanthropic organizations, either in a volunteer or Board of Director capacity. He currently serves on the board as vice-chair of Capital for Change, a CDFI entity based in Connecticut.

Robinson will be based in Middletown, CT.
