Novogradac announced the promotion of three principals to partnership, Roy Chou, Rebecca Darling and Alvin Lee, effective January 1, 2019.

Roy Chou is a partner in the San Francisco office of Novogradac & Company LLP. Chou has experience in real estate, affordable housing and community development, including New Markets Tax Credit and Historic Tax Credit transactions. He is a frequent speaker at the firms NMTC and HTC conferences and preconference workshops. Chou has also contributed articles to various publications, including the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and he is licensed in California as a certified public accountant.

Rebecca Darling is a partner in the metro Atlanta office of Novogradac & Company LLP. Darling has experience in all areas of real estate accounting, with an emphasis in the New Markets Tax Credit, Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit and affordable housing sectors. Darling works closely with the Novogradac NMTC Working Group. She is a contributor to the Novogradac NMTC Handbook and Novogradac Introduction to NMTC booklet. Additionally, she is a frequent speaker at industry events. Darling earned a bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University.

Alvin Lee is a partner in the San Francisco office of Novogradac & Company LLP, where he specializes in real estate and renewable energy transactions by providing audit, tax and consulting services for developers, syndicators and investors. He has extensive experience with financial modeling and financial statement reporting for renewable energy tax credit and Low Income Housing Tax Credit transactions with emphasis on investment accounting and partnership taxation. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkley. He is licensed in California as a certified public accountant.
