On June 4, the House Appropriations Committee approved the FY 2020 Transportation-HUD appropriations bills on a partisan 29-21 vote with Representatives Mark Amodei (R-NV), Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA) and Brenda Lawrence (D-MI) not voting. The bill provides $50.1 billion for HUD programs, $5.9 billion of the FY 2019 enacted funding level. The National Low Income Housing Coalition published an updated budget chart that shows the differences between the FY 2019 funding levels, the FY 2020 President’s proposed budget and the FY 2020 House funding levels for key HUD and USDA programs.
