NH&RA joined a letter to the Senate Committee on Banking Housing and Urban Affairs supporting Adrianne Todman’s nomination to be Deputy Secretary at HUD. The letter was led by the ACTION Steering Committee and joined by 17 other federal housing organizations. Todman currently serves on the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). Before joining NAHRO, Todman served as the executive director at the District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) from 2009 to 2017. Todman previously served as policy aide in HUD’s Office of the Secretary, as well as a legislative director in the U.S. House of Representatives.

USDA Rural Development Decoupling Program Development Stakeholder Session – April 25
The decoupling of rental assistance from Section 514/515 loans under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024 will now permit properties with Section 514/515 maturing mortgages to continue to receive rental assistance to further preserve affordable housing. A stakeholder engagement session is being held on April 25 at 2 p.m. ET and those interested in participating are encouraged to register.
