HUD released the 2021 operating cost adjustment factors (OCAFs) for project-based rental assistance with an anniversary date on or after Feb. 11, 2022. The nationwide OCAF increased by 3.1 percent, ranging from 1.8 percent in Hawaii to 3.5 percent in California. OCAFs are annual factors used to adjust Section 8 rents renewed under section 515 or section 524 of MAHRA.
