Last week, Congress passed a continuing resolution that will fund the federal government at its current levels through February 18, averting a shutdown. The February deadline punts one of the many items on the Congressional year-end to-do list, including addressing the debt limit, passing the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and action on the Build Back Better (BBB) Act. The debt limit and NDAA bill are both time sensitive and action on those pressing items could cause BBB passage to slip into next year.
