The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) recently published an Advanced Energy Design Guide (AEDG) for Multifamily Buildings, developed with support from the Department of Energy (DOE) and aimed at assisting multifamily building owners and operators, design professionals and developers in achieving zero energy buildings.

The authors will walk attendees through the document and highlight some of the almost 200 “financially feasible, operationally workable and readily achievable” strategies for achieving a zero-energy multifamily building in a webinar on September 13 from 11 a.m. to noon ET, register here. They will demonstrate how the document can serve as a step-by-step guide covering the entire process—from goal setting to verification of outcomes—for organizations contemplating whether or how to pursue zero-energy buildings.
