To mark the second anniversary of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA), the U.S. Department of the Treasury released a report with new data illustrating the extent to which this funding supported both immediate pandemic recovery and long-term economic growth. Communities across the country budgeted $15.9 billion for more than 2,100 projects to meet housing needs, including over $5.4 billion committed to affordable housing development and preservation. The report also highlights eviction and foreclosure prevention, including 10.3 million payments to households at risk of eviction.
