Merchants Capital announced $1.1 billion in securitization through the growth of its Capital Markets platform, led by Senior Vice President Evan Gibson. The platform focuses on providing liquidity and capital relief for its parent company Merchants Bank of Indiana. Since inception in 2020, the group has executed over $3 billion in securitizations and has accumulated more than $900 million in assets under management. Most recently, Merchants’ Capital Markets team, alongside other industry partners, including VIUM Capital and ATLAS SP Partners, closed a private synthetic securitization of over $1.1 billion in nursing and senior housing bridge loans. This deal comes on the heels of a $1.2 billion securitization in September 2022 along with two notable Freddie Mac Q-Series transactions also closed last year.
