The Kentucky Department for Local Government (DLG) is seeking input from communities affected by the flooding from July 2022. HUD recently allocated funds for areas affected by those disasters and Kentucky was allocated $297,994,000 in CDBG Disaster Recovery funds to aid in recovery. DLG drafted an Action Plan for this funding and is seeking comments to the plan. Please send written comments via the comment form or via email to DLG.DR@ky.gov.

House Announces Tax Teams
House Ways and Means Chair Jason Smith (R-MO) announced the establishment of ten “Tax Teams,” made up of Republican members of the committee, that will each focus on a specific aspect of tax policy to prepare for what is expected to be major tax legislation next year in advance of the expiration of many provisions from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
