  NH&RA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors which is elected annually by its membership at the organization’s annual meeting. The Executive Committee is comprised of the organization’s officers and is elected annually by the Board of Directors. Professional staff provide for the day-to-day operations of the association and report to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Andrew Hughes Nominated for Deputy Secretary at HUD

President Trump’s nominee for Deputy Secretary of HUD, Andrew Hughes, is a Former Secretary Ben Carson loyalist.

He served as chief of staff under HUD Secretary Ben Carson during President Trump’s first term.
Hughes worked on Ben Carson’s 2016 presidential campaign and briefly on Donald Trump’s campaign.
He also served as the executive director and CEO of the American Cornerstone Institute, a think tank founded by Carson.

What’s Next: The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will schedule a hearing to confirm his nomination.
