HUD released a proposed rule to rescind the Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing (AFHM) regulations. These rules currently require certain participants in HUD Multifamily Housing programs and those with FHA-insured loans to submit Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plans.
HUD states that rescinding the AFHM regulations is in the public interest and is moving quickly—the public comment period is only 30 days, with comments due by July 3, 2025.
