Earlier this month, President Trump nominated Acting Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Commissioner Frank Cassidy to officially serve in this role.

Cassidy’s previous experience includes:

  • Senior Managing Director, Walker & Dunlop (2019 to 2025);
  • Vice President, Newmark/Berkeley Point Capital (2016 to 2019); and
  • Oppenheimer & Co. (2011 to 2012) where he helped launch a direct warehouse lending program for FHA/HUD-insured loans, which grew to fund over $1 billion in multifamily and healthcare properties.

What’s Next: The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a confirmation hearing.
