Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), Vice Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee, released an updated tracker detailing at least $410 billion in federal funding being frozen, cancelled, or terminated by the Trump administration.
The tracker lists $32.137 billion worth of programs pertaining to affordable housing including:
- HUD: Fair Housing Initiatives Program ($23M), Frozen;
- HUD: Homeless Assistance Grants ($150M), Frozen;
- HUD: Green and Resilient Retrofit Program – GRRP ($842M), Frozen;
- EPA: Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, Solar for All – GGRF ($27B), Frozen;
- DOI & NPS: Historic Preservation Fund ($51M), Frozen; and
- DHS & FEMA: Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) Program ($4.071B), Cancelled/Terminated.
Why This Matters: Many federal programs that would normally be distributing funds remain inactive for FY 2025, with applications unopened and critical investments at risk of expiring.
