President Trump nominated Jeremy Ellis to be the Inspector General for HUD.
- If confirmed, he will conduct audits, evaluations, investigations, and other reviews of HUD’s programs and operations.
- Ellis has over two decades of investigative experience, and has served across multiple federal oversight agencies, including:
- Special Inspector General for Pandemic Recovery (SIGPR);
- Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP); and
- Department of Energy’s Office of Inspector General.
What’s Next: The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a nomination hearing.
