  NH&RA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors which is elected annually by its membership at the organization’s annual meeting. The Executive Committee is comprised of the organization’s officers and is elected annually by the Board of Directors. Professional staff provide for the day-to-day operations of the association and report to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

2026 Edson Award Applications Open

Applications are now open for the AHTCC 2026 Recognition of Housing Tax Credit Excellence in honor of Charles L. Edson (Edson Awards), celebrating outstanding affordable housing developments and organizations that have demonstrated impactful use of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (Housing Credit). Recipients will be recognized at a ceremony in Washington, DC on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, with Members of Congress invited to speak on behalf of selected properties.

Property nominations may be submitted by development owners, syndicators, investors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

A $150 application fee is required for all non-AHTCC member submissions. Entries must be submitted by 11:00 pm ET on Friday, May 8, 2026.
