32 Democratic Senators, led by Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Ranking Member Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) asked HUD to withdraw its proposed rule, “HUD’s Implementation of the Fair Housing Act’s Disparate Impact Standard.” This proposed rule would rescind the agency’s long-held disparate impact framework under the Fair Housing Act of 1968 and Senators want to see a recommitment to enforcement of fair housing and civil rights laws for all.
