The Ohio Housing Finance Agency’s (OHFA) Compliance Training focuses primarily on the basics of compliance for the Housing Tax Credit program (also known as the HTC program). The course is a QAP requirement and also may be required to fulfill OHFA’s Experience and Capacity Review Requirements.

Ohio Suspends the Use of the Utility Allowance Consumption Model
OHFA announced that effective July 1, 2016, new requests for a consumption based utility allowance will not be accepted. Owners who have requested a consumption based allowance prior to July 1 are exempt from this suspension.

Ohio Offers Guidance on 2016 DDAs, QCTs
Recipients of 2015 Housing Tax Credit allocations will utilize the 2015 DDA or 2015 QCT designations or the state designations listed in 2015 Basis Boost Policy in the 2015 QAP. Applicants seeking 2016 Housing Tax Credits will utilize the 2016 DDA and QCT designations. 4% Housing Tax Credit applicants whose bonds are issued and building is placed in service on or after July 1, 2016 will utilize the 2016 DDA and QCT designations.

OHFA has released the 2015 Draft Ohio QAP for public review and comments. The annual public hearing for the 2015 QAP will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Comments may be emailed to [email protected].
