The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently announced a new streamlined process for providing funding through its various grant programs.  Instead of issuing a single “Super” notice of funding availability (NOFA) for all of its programs as it has in recent years, the Department will issue an individual NOFA for each program as each notice is approved. The process will speed the application process for prospective grantees who would have been forced to wait for HUD to publish its SuperNOFA. HUD has published an anticipated schedule for issuance of 2009 program-specific NOFAs, and published a Federal Register notice explaining the change and the general requirements for FY 2009 NOFAs.  Read More…
