The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (CTCAC) has postponed from April 6 its first-round application deadline for its low-income housing tax credit program, as well as associated application workshops. The agency said it is doing so to promulgate additional rules to further amend its qualified allocation plan to make available the new federal HOME gap financing and credit exchange funding resources made available by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. CTCAC said the new application deadline for the first round will be announced later, and that agency staff are still recommending that the Committee adopt pending proposed regulation changes for the 2009 program.  read more…
