Arkansas State Rep Robert Moore has introduced a bill (HB 1953) that would create an Arkansas state historic rehabilitation tax credit. The bill would provide a state tax credit for up to 25% of the renovation cost for qualifying historic residences or commercial structures, up to $500,000 for commercial properties and up $100,000 for non income-producing properties. State Sen. Denny Altes has amended his own bill (SB 9) to make it identical to HB 1953. The total credit amount issued in any one year couldn’t exceed $4 million.
