The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority on March 27 issued a reminder to prospective applicants for low-income housing tax credits, saying that WHEDA isn’t currently accepting applications for new LIHTC funds authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), and isn’t accepting applications that identify these funds as a source of financing. The new LIHTC funds are credit exchange program proceeds and gap financing under the Tax Credit Assistance Program. WHEDA referred to a previous March 10 memoradum it issued. The new notice said WHEDA hasn’t yet posted selection criteria or a final memorandum or other guidance related to the use of the new funds.
