The U.S. Census Bureau today (Sept. 22) released its latest American Community Survey (ACS) data, which compiles social, housing, demographic and economic information for approximately 3 million households each year. The Bureau’s ACS provides a comprehensive statistical snapshot of the nation’s population and is used inform policymakers as they create and reform significant regulation and federal programs affecting community populations. The latest survey data incorporates three new survey topics related to health insurance coverage, marital history and VA service-connected disability rating.
