U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan has announced three new Regional HUD Directors, for the Southeast, Mountain, and Northwest Regions. Regional Directors serve as HUD’s liaison to elected representatives, state and local officials, congressional delegations, stakeholders and customers for their respective regions. They also oversee the delivery of HUD programs and services, as well as evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness. The newly appointed Regional HUD Directors are:
- Edward L. Jennings, Jr., Southeast Region — includes Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida
- Rick Garcia, Mountain Region — includes Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Utah
- Mary McBride, Northwest Region — includes Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Alaska
