The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s HUD USER website recently released its final Quality Control for Rental Assistance Subsidy Determinations report for FY 2009.  The annual report provides national estimates of the extent, severity, costs, and sources of rent errors in tenant subsidies for nearly all of the HUD subsidy programs, including:

  • PHA-administered Public Housing;
  • Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher;
  • Moderate Rehabilitation programs;
  • Housing-administered Section 8;
  • Section 202 Rental Assistance;
  • Section 811 Rental Assistance, and;
  • Section 202/162 Project Assistance Contracts (PAC)

The FY 2009 report shows that errors in these programs’ tenant subsidies continue to remain stable when compared with results from previous studies.
