The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) will be holding forums throughout the state to discuss the issue of cost containment associated with developing affordable housing. TCAC has identified a collection of LIHTC projects that have significantly higher per unit development costs than the statewide average and as a result, TCAC has launched a study to determine why these projects are so costly. TCAC is currently in the process of gathering and compiling data to identify cost factors, trends and unique issues, and has scheduled a series of forums to discuss these topics with interested parties.
