The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) has released a revised Utility Allowance Policies and Procedures document to include an energy consumption model. An Energy Consumption Model must, at a minimum, take into account specific factors including, but not limited to, unit size, building orientation (e.g. townhouse versus flat/garden unit), design and materials, mechanical systems, appliances, and characteristics of building location. OHFA will be accepting public comments on this change or about other aspects of the utility allowance policy. Comments should be sent via email to Brian Carnahan atbcarnahan@ohiohome.org by May 4, 2012.
