Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) recently published an update on its multifamily funding redesign project in conjunction with its January 11 State Housing Council meeting. In its documentation, OHCS provides an overview of its proposed changes and project schedule as well as initial details on scoring and best practices concepts being discussed by the project working groups. Of note, OHCS proposes changing from a single Consolidated Funding Cycle (CFC) to a series of Notices of Funding Availability (NOFA) in order to simplify the process and create more consistency across the funding programs. OHCS is still seeking input on the details before final recommendations are proposed. They plan to continue testing recommendations with external partners through February and begin integrating the recommendations into the QAP processes and policies. They currently project presenting a completed QAP draft in March and having a final QAP by May.

OHCS will continue to collect comments and concerned submitted to the Regional Advisors.
