Minnesota Housing announced important deadlines, key documents, and a Senior Housing Pilot for its Multifamily and Housing Tax Credit Request for Proposal process.

The agency posted the Multifamily Workbook, which is required for all applicants, as well as the Housing Tax Credit Self-Scoring and Deferred Priority Checklist, which is required for deferred and HTC applicants. All other application materials will be released on Monday, April 18.

Important Dates

  • Monday, April 18: Intent to Apply and application materials published on our website
  • Monday, May 2: Preservation and Section 811 pre-apps due
  • Thursday, June 2: Intent to Apply due for all applications
  • Thursday, June 16: Complete applications due

Section 811 Project-based Rental Assistance (PRA) will be available in the 2016 RFP for properties that will set aside units for people with disabilities. Applicants eligible for 811 PRA and applying for HTC may also consider taking special population points on the tax credit score sheet.

If you plan to apply for 811 Rental Assistance, we invite you to submit a pre-application to determine eligibility. The pre-application is due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 2. We will notify you of your eligibility by Tuesday, May 17. Eligibility for HTC points and all funding determinations will be made through the RFP selection process.
