HUD’s RADBlast newsletter recently reported on data regarding the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program’s success over the past year. In FY 2016, 201 properties, accounting for 22,918 units of public housing, were converted for the most productive year in the program’s short history. A recent report shows that RAD is on track to accomplish its goal of attracting new capital to stabilize public housing properties.

RAD remains fully subscribed up to the 185,000 unit cap, with potential for that cap increasing in the future.
