At this time, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) is inviting the public to provide comments related to the Draft 2019 State of Texas Low Income Housing Plan and Annual Report (SLIHP). The public comment period is scheduled from Monday, December 10, 2018, through 5:00 p.m., Austin local time, on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

The SLIHP offers a comprehensive reference on statewide housing needs, housing resources, and strategies for funding allocations. It reviews TDHCA’s housing programs, current and possible future policies, resource allocation plans to meet state housing needs, and reports on performance during the preceding state fiscal year (September 1, 2017, through August 31, 2018).

During the public comment period, a public hearing will take place as follows:

Anyone may submit comments on the SLIHP in written form or oral testimony at the public hearing.
