USDA Rural Development (RD) announced today that Jen Larson has accepted the position of Director for the Multi-Family Housing Portfolio Management Division, effective May 28, 2019. This position was recently held by Nancie-Ann Bodell who was promoted to Assistant Deputy Administrator. Ms. Larson brings over 15 years of private and public sector experience in the affordable housing field, in roles spanning the stakeholder spectrum from non-profit owner, manager, and developer to senior leadership positions at HUD.

USDA Rural Development Decoupling Program Development Stakeholder Session – April 25
The decoupling of rental assistance from Section 514/515 loans under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024 will now permit properties with Section 514/515 maturing mortgages to continue to receive rental assistance to further preserve affordable housing. A stakeholder engagement session is being held on April 25 at 2 p.m. ET and those interested in participating are encouraged to register.
