Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (D-TX) introduced S. 1904/H.R. 2763 that would bar HUD from enacting is proposed rule that would prohibit mixed immigration status families from living in HUD-assisted housing. Earlier this month, Sen. Gillibrand also led a letter to Secretary Carson with 18 Democratic Senate colleagues in opposition to HUD’s proposed rule.
