The West Virginia Housing Development Fund (the Fund) released an administrative waiver, which applies to all properties that have received or will receive credits from the 2017, 2018, 2019 or 2020 State Housing Credit Ceiling. The Fund received a request for an administrative waiver because the Energy Star fan and LED light fixture or separate components, which fit together are difficult to obtain and expensive to purchase. Under the administrative waiver, a ceiling fan with specifications that fulfill the requirements of Energy Star Program Requirements Product Specification for Residential Ceiling Fans Version 3.0 (effective October 1, 2011), with an integrated LED light fixture/module will be installed in each bedroom and the living room will be allowed as an alternative to the requirement.
