The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) posted the 2020 Excel application and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for its $500 million state tax credit. Applications are due on November 15 and must be submitted to both TCAC and the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee (CDLAC). The minimum CDLAC point score is 80 points, and the maximum point score is 160 points for 100 percent affordable restricted projects and 140 points for mixed income projects.

Applications submitted for the November 15, 2019 deadline, only the 2020 attachment 40 is available as TCAC is in the process of updating all application attachments for 2020. For all other attachments, use the 2019 attachments. Applications submitted for the January 17, 2020 deadline will be required to use all 2020 attachments. The Excel application/Attachment 40 is for applications requesting either four percent federal credit only or four percent federal credit with state credit – $500 million tranche.
