The board chair of the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) announced that Isidoro “Izzy” Hernandez has been named as the organization’s executive director in a unanimous board vote. He replaces Jay Czar, who was MFA’s executive director for 13 years.

Hernandez came to MFA 27 years ago as a management trainee. He has held a variety of positions across the organization, including that of homeownership manager, community development director and the director of program administration. Most recently, Hernandez served as the deputy director of programs.
