Due to the ever-changing information regarding COVID-19, the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) has started implementation of an adjusted operations model to protect our employees and the communities we serve. WHEDA leadership has been working toward this decision as part of its business continuity plan and remains open for business. WHEDA will retain an essential workforce at its Madison Office to support our financing efforts and ensure our commitment to affordable housing and economic development.

We will continue to monitor and adjust our communications, policies and procedures to adapt to the fluctuating COVID-19 conditions. We sincerely appreciate your support and patience as we work together during this critical time to serve Wisconsin communities and residents.

Questions?

WHEDA will stop management reviews for HUD, tax credit and WHEDA properties through at least April 6. WHEDA’s committed to supporting the nationwide effort to slow down the spread of COVID-19. Our primary goal is for the safety of our employees, partners and the communities we serve. As you know, this is a very fluid situation and things are continuing to change. We will communicate any updates to this decision as needed.

Please make sure your residents know the procedure to contact your organization for maintenance or other issues.  Good communication is critical during this time.

If you have questions, please contact your HMO for further information.
