Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) opened applications in its Universal Funding Application (UFA) for three project types:

  • Multifamily Non-Credit Rental Development (HOME, AHTF, and SMAL),
  • Single-Family Homebuyer Development (HOME and AHTF), and
  • AHTF Home Repair (AHTF Only).

All three applications are due by noon ET on Friday, January 15, 2021. These funding rounds will occur alongside one another to allow KHC to allocate HOME and AHTF optimally across funding rounds, which may impact the amount of HOME and AHTF actually allocated in any one round.

Multifamily Non-Credit Rental Development

The following funding sources are available for the development of affordable, small-scale multifamily rental developments of 11 units or less:

  • HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)
  • Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF)
  • Small Multifamily Affordable Loan Program (SMAL)

Non-credit applications are not competitively scored; however, all applications must meet KHC threshold requirements.

Applicants who have not successfully developed and placed in service a multifamily project with KHC in the last three years must attend a technical assistance meeting prior to being given access to the UFA system. Please refer to the Multifamily Guidelines for more information. For more information, contact Anthony Wright at 502-564-7630, extension 314; TTY 711; or awright@kyhousing.org.
