The Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA) published the final 2021 HOME Investment Partnerships Program Action Plan and LIHTC QAP. The tentative AHFA 2021 Competitive Application Cycle is as follows:

- Public Hearing – Draft Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Plan – 12/9/2020
- Draft Application Forms Package Release -December 2020
- Public Comment Period Deadline for HTF Plan – 1/8/2021
- Application Training Materials Released – January 2021
- List of CHDO Eligible Organizations Released – January 2021
- Application Deviation Request Deadline – 1/14/2021
- 2021 LIHTC/HOME/HTF Applications Due – 2/18/2021
- 2021 Award Announcements – June 2021
- 2021 Reservation Packages Release – July 2021
The HTF public hearing will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 9 a.m. CT, at the Hampton Inn & Suites – Eastchase located at 7651 Eastchase Parkway, Montgomery, Alabama, 36117. Attendees who wish to speak must register to do so upon arrival at the venue.
All interested parties are invited to submit written or oral comments at the public hearing regarding the proposed Plan. All written comments must be submitted using the AHFA required 2021 Plan Comment Form and must be received by AHFA by 5 p.m. CT on January 8, 2021. Any persons desiring to present oral comments should appear at the public hearing.
